Baby Nox

Since Gabriel from Invizible Kidz posted his cat as a baby I couldn´t resist to do so, too !

This picture for example is from the breeder. I didn´t have Nox when he was still a kitten. He was one year old, fully grown and with it´s own personality that built up throughout that time - without me. But fortunately this cat - a baby or not - was my animal soulmate ever since I got him. Polite, cuddly and tender with his surroundings. He never breaks a thing, would never hurt you by biting or scratching you and has the strange-for-a-cat-attitude to be afraid of heights ! He is always noisy when you catch him and put him onto your arm. His claws always find their way into your jumper so he can get some better grip. I just luv him. That´s all I gotta say :-)

his eyes have still been blue here before they turned orange.

My boyfriend´s birthday / the future

I wanna share some pictures of my boyfriend´s birthday with you (it is one week ago now...).

It was the same evening when I was rejected by the tattoo shop like I posted before. Therefore I got a sad look in my eyes on the photos. I instantly noticed it when I looked at them for the first time. But after all it has been a nice birthday with friends, music , lots of cake, junkfood and some booze.

This is one of the cakes I made for the party. A Queen Victoria Sponge Cake. I baked a creamy and tasty NY Cheesecake, too, but I got no photo of it... it was gone real quick after I put it on the table ;-)

We dressed up my boyfriend as the main character of the book he wrote ( it is not ready yet) and had some fun looking at him feeling happy and getting a little childish shooting around with toy laser guns. So cute <3

Did the costume just the evening before the party when he was away for two hours...stress!

Hahaha YES! I can finally see the results of my 10 kg weightloss till now.

Well, for I am ill now since some days I got enough time to think about my future. Will I get another chance to get an apprenticeship in a tattoo shop? What if nobody wants me? Will I have to work in an office again, like I did before? I don´t wanna. I´m very afraid of this. My self confidence is all blown away even if I got the plan of visiting the tattoo convention to introduce myself and my drawings.

Let´s just call it a night for now.

News from the job interview

Hello guys and girls,

for I didn't find the chance to tell you the news from my job interview at a tattoo shop in Frankfurt yesterday ( because I had so many things to do the whole day) I'll do that now! 

We talked about one and a half hour ( ! ) so the boss and an ex- apprentice now working at the shop fulltime took a lot of time for me to make everything clear - I really appeciated that. I think we came along with each other pretty well and talked about all kind of things regarding tattoos. My drawing skills and creativity where tested, too. I had to draw a cover- up idea over a very bad old tramp stamp . The second test showed a bad tribal in the middle of an upper arm. My task was to expand it , so the whole arm above it would be covered. I did a nordic style wolve's head tribal with the old tribal as it's arm and a paw on it. Lucky me - they seemed to like it. After the apprenticeship I can stay and work at the shop fulltime ( if they choose to pick me ...). That'd be great!

I will hear from them til saturday and so I'm staying excited ! I'll update the blog if I hear something new.

Und an dieser Stelle möchte ich mich bei allen (meinem Freund, meinen Freunden, meinen Bloggerfreunden und meiner Familie), für die Unterstützung bedanken.

Jeder wollte gestern wissen, wie es gelaufen ist, jeder drückte mir die Daumen und will mir in der Ausbildung den Rücken stärken ( falls sie mich nehmen natürlich). In diesem Moment meines Lebens spüre ich wieder, dass ich Leute um mich habe, die mich sehr mögen oder lieben. Und ich könnte weinen, weil ich so froh darüber bin! Ich danke euch von ganzem Herzen !

AND ... at this point I wanna thank everybody ( my boyfriend, my friends, bloggerfriends and family) for the support!!! Yesterday everybody wanted to hear from me how it was going, did hold their thumbs for me and wanna strengthen my back while I'm in the apprenticeship ( again: If they pick me...) . This is a moment in life I realise that I have people around me who really like or love me. And I could cry because I'm so happy about it. Thank you very much, from all my heart !

New year and stuff XD

And I hope it´ll be awesome. I´m still looking forward to a job interview in the tattoo shop I told you about and my two year anniversary with my boyfriend. Then I´m gonna start to change my nutrition to loose some pounds. And I will get my short sleeve tattoo by the amazing Marco Schmidgunst in Wiesbaden Germany.

Ok guys, here´s one thing I think that´s weird about me. I HATE THE SOUND OF PEOPLE DRINKING ! Gulp, gulp, gulp - ah ! I can´t stand it. This disgust follows me my whole life now and I can´t think of anything in the past that makes me feel like this when someone takes a zip in the present. It just came to my mind again today as an older lady in the train did it. 

Are there such things that you absolutely can´t stand, too? Would be interesting for me to know.

The Article - RELEASED !

Wow !

What a coincidence ! I was looking for a good idea for my 100. post when my relatives told me that the newspaper with the special article about young artists (including me) is available now!

I instantly ran to the grocery store, bought one, sprinted back home, dived right onto the couch and started reading. I still can´t believe they printed my photo this large...

The whole story can be found into Germanys Höchster Kreisblatt.

And for all the others who can´t read German I´ll translate:

Kat loves the surprising, the profound. A cat with a stiff collar, a dead mouse in a cocktailglass - everytime she´s painting the world turns into a complex and sometimes frightening entity.

Everything is possible then. 

"I think it´s great when the beholder doesn´t see every detail within one view. There must be always more to discover", says the young artist.

With her paintings, willingly opulent and sometimes overflowing with baroque elements, she expresses her own lifestyle. "Classy and a little off one´s trolley with slight signs of insanity", she says laughing.

She broke up her studies in Design and Communication because there was too much focus on working with the computer. "I like to work with my hands, having the control over my pen and the material", she explains.

One of her first chances of success has been the exhibition of one of her works for the competition of the "Frankfurter Sparkasse" (a bank in Germany).

To live just from her art, that´s something she doesn´t dare to believe ( Comment from me: Hummm... I DO dare to believe btw :-D But it´s soooo hard to make it happen!!!). But she has found her way to make money with her talent: "I want to absolve an apprenticeship in tattooing and open a tattoo-shop one day" (Comment from me: I don´t just wanna make money with it - Tattooing is the one thing I most desire to practice in my life. Even more than painting with acrylics ;-) ).

The Interview

I had an interview with a nice lady from a local german newspaper today, who visited me together with a photographer. The article tells my story from when I started drawing in my childhood until today and even how I realised that I wanna become a tattoo artist!
