Tattoo and apprenticeship

Tattoo ready, got color on thursday ;-) It heals pretty fast. 

Meanwhile my apprenticeship in the tattoo shop is going well. They are thinking about letting me tattoo my masters leg already - even it is only 3 weeks that have gone by. Hopefully the tattoo will look good! I´m gonna make a photo and show it to you when it is ready :-D

Day and homework nr. 1 !

The first day of my new apprenticeship is over and I have to say: I really like everything so far !

The guys at the shop are totally laid back and cool and I learned A LOT on just that one day. But I have to focus on how everything works in the shop first (how to set up a station for tattooing and stuff) and then on drawing all-time-favorite tattoos for practice. For example the rose above! This was my first task for the weekend - to draw a rose in a rich red with a little background. Will present this to my "master" on monday ;-D

New ink !

Remember? I got tattooed by the amazing Marco Schmidgunst yesterday ! I´m more than satisfied with my new ink !!! In fact I love it !!!!!!!! Plus I had a great and funny conversation with Marco while I was sitting in his Studio for about four hours.

Take a look at the result:

Hopefully it will stop moistening because of all the blood and stuff by tomorrow ;-)

It´ll get color on May the 16th.

Tattoo Convention Frankfurt - For real ;-P

Soooooooooooooo whyever... my new mobile firmware decided to bring all the photos and videos back that seemed lost yesterday !!!

I´ve got no idea why the video can´t be played the right way. Blogger always turns it to the wrong side :-(. Sorry ! If someone can tell me how to fix this I´d be happy.

Tattoo Convention Frankfurt 2013 - NOT !

Well I admit I didn´t post recently - but for a reason. I was ill. I AM still ill :-)

Stuffed with antibiotics I´m finally sitting here in front of my computer. I wanted to post my report about the Frankfurt International Tattoo Convention 2013 which I attended to last saturday. But ROOOOOAARRRRR ! Since my mobile phone´s firmware has been updated a few minutes ago all my photos and videos are gone...! So I can just show you the photo of me and my friend Vader I met in the convention hall ( because I sent this to my boyfriend laughing at him because I got a pic with the mighty Sith and he - as a big Star Wars fan - hasn´t. Am I mean? ;-) ).

I´m especially pissed because of my erased video with the tattoo model contest. I captured Victoria Van Violence on it ! After she went down the stage I was able to catch up with her and humbly asked for an autograph. Unfortunately she was in a hurry and asked me to come over to the booth of a famous german tattoo magazine later, where she´d be located for the rest of the evening. I´m so sad I didn´t get that autograph... because me and my friend had to leave the convention soon after that. But hey - she thumped my shoulder. Good enough for me ;-)

Ornament vines

A new idea to complete my back tattoo: Baroque / rococo vines. They could be placed on both shoulderblades with my flying bat in the middle. Awwwwww that would be great. Let´s see what my not-tattoo-loving-boyfriend has to say to my plan. 

At first I thought I´d be getting this one I posted before, but when a tattoo artist told me that it would cost about 600 Euro to make it real, I almost fainted :-D lol. So I had to think of something smaller to decorate my back. Well, here it is, haha...

Btw. ! I´ve been to Frankfurt International Tattoo Fair this saturday ! It was great, will report more in the next post.

Heraldic

This drawing took me about half an hour this evening. Inspired by a tattoo flash of Spider Murphy´s Tattoo but whether did I copy it nor drew the exact same thing. I saw the flash once ( a heraldic gryphon with a ladies face in it´s mouth) and did my own version just by using my own head and imagination. Didn´t even look at the flash when I did it :-) So I think I´m not a kind of copy cat...haha.

Time went by since I showed you this lady and a part of my working space to you for the first time.

And I totally forgot to load her up here now that she´s ready (since a couple of days or weeks to be exact lol).  I´m pretty pleased with it, but I also see many mistakes I want to avoid in the future. I know I know... always the weird and never satisfied artists...hehe.

Tattoo on the left arm for Christmas

Boom-Chicka-Wah-Waaaah !

It´s December and that means that my birthday is soon and then Christmas comes !

So you see it´s a very cool month for me ;-D

I´m already aware of what my boyfriend is gonna give to me as a present.... a voucher for a tattoo by a great Artist that will be placed on my left arm! Isn´t he the best boyfriend ever?! 

First I drew something for the tattoo myself but I am always so picky !!! I´ll never be satisfied with one of my selfdrawn things, so I´ll speak with the artist so he can draw it up for me.

This is what I came up with til now:

The only thing I like about it is my cat (I should because I practiced drawing him often enough lol). I´d like it to stay as it is on this picture. I like the eyes of the girl, too, but I am not so fond of her whole look. I´d like her to be more victorian and in another constellation with the pens, the ink and maybe I´d like to add an artists palette in her hair. And aaaaahhhh I don´t want her to be that mangaesque looking! I´m so moody when it comes to my stuff, like I told ya !!! Argh.

Ok anyway.... now I wanna show you some works of the tattoo artist I want to go to after I received my voucher for my birthday :-D His name is Marco Schmidgunst from Wiesbaden Germany.

I absolutely adore his tattoos and drawings so I´m overflowing with joy now and gonna get me an appointment soon.

German Tattoo Model Victoria Van Violence

Introducing Miss Victoria Van Violence, a german tattoo-model from my hometown Frankfurt Germany. Her beautiful green hair is unmistakable. And if you look at her tattoed Arm more precisely you can see that she got her love for Frankfurt eternalized in her skin.

She´s a person I´d like to meet some time for I never saw her in the city myself.I love her photos, that´s for sure.

A reason 2 draw

Yeaaaah... after some time I finally got briefed to draw a tattoo motive again !

I use to draw some myself just for me, but much too seldom because I´m not always mused to do so.

It suddenly changes every time someone has a vague idea of something he wants to get tattooed and talks to me about it. Because my head is overflowing with ideas and I am eager to fulfill the customers wish then.

The drawing above shows the outcome of the idea to get the crest of the city the customer was born tattooed - combined with her wish to get a hummingbird inked some time later. "Why not put these things together?", we thought. 

I mailed her a thumbnail. Let´s see if she likes it or not :-D
