Mother Mary and Her Son Jesus the Christ

In the years after his birth under the shiny sky, he grew into his youth and listen to his mother sing, but on this one particular day she talked to her son to tell him just what he means.

Mother of Christ: Son I was truly blessed when you came into your father's and my life.
Christ: Why may I ask of thee?
Mother Mary: You were the one chosen by a higher authority to represent Him here. And I worry that this was just a burden I wasn't sure you could bear. Crises of many degrees were going on at the time in Jerusalem, and other places, you even have enemies now who would like for you to fail.
Christ: Put your worries to rest mother for there not a burden too big for me to handle.
Mother Mary: I can see that my son, I can see that. You have all the qualities of your father Joseph, and all the dignity of the Spirit, who gift of kindness bless me with you.
Christ: As I said mother I'm truly blessed, sure sometimes I'm stressed but it's at mankind not trying to follow a higher calling I keep seeing those who should and can just chose to keep on falling.
Mother Mary: Son your path is follow by many, if not by plenty just stay focus.
Christ: That Thou Shall do just as the song you sung when I was a youth. How does it go?
Mary: Be brave, be strong and see the blessing you will be. Be kind, be true for all things are good in you.
Christ: Your voice of encouragement just do wonders for me I'm the one who were blessed on that day of my birth so many years ago. I have been placed as the center of world attention but you're the blessing to me.
Mary: Seeing you doing the things you have done is enough for me to be blessed.
Christ: Mother, I hadn't finished yet.
Mother and child take a walk and embrace each other with warmth and devotion that only they could do and understand.

FILIPINO TRIBAL TATTOO/BAKUNAWA/SEA SERPENT

The Bakunawa, also known as Bakonawa, Baconaua, or Bakonaua, is a deity in Philippine mythology that is often represented as a gigantic sea serpent. He is believed to be the god of the underworld and is often considered to be the cause of eclipses. It appears as a giant sea serpent with a mouth the size of a lake, a red tongue, whiskers, gills, small wires at its sides, and two sets of wings, one is large and ash-gray while the other is small and is found further down its body. Mythology Tales about the Bakunawa say that it is the cause of eclipses. During ancient times, Filipinos believe that there are seven moons created by Bathala to light up the sky. The Bakunawa, amazed by their beauty, would rise from the ocean and swallow the moons whole, angering Bathala and causing them to be mortal enemies. To keep the Bakunawa moons from completely being swallowed, ancient Filipinos would go out of their homes with pans and pots, and would make noise in order to scare the Bakunawa into spitting out the moon back into the sky. Similar creaturesOther serpentine/dragon deities are also found in other myths in the Philippines. These include the Bawa, the Bauta, Mameleu or Mamelen or Nanreben, and Marcupo or Macupo of Hiligaynon mythology, Buwaya or Nono of Tagalog mythology), and Mikonawa or Mikunawa or Minukawa of Bagobo mythology.

It has been said that Hinduism is a religion of 330 million Hinduism gods. Sri Ramakrishna, a prominent Hindu saint once wrote, "There can be as many Hindu Gods as there are devotees to suit the moods, feelings, emotions and social backgrounds of the devotees." So in some ways Hinduism is a polytheistic religion. There is an exceedingly wide variety of gods to choose from to worship with statues and symbols to pay homage before. If one wants to pray for acquiring knowledge and understanding, he would pray to the god, Sarasati, for example. One might pray to the god, Moksha, to obtain God's grace. Many Hindus worship their own village god or goddess.

However, to say that Hinduism is a polytheistic religion with an unknown and unnamed number of Gods would be incorrect. Many Hindus view the religion as a monotheistic religion with only one supreme being who is formless and impersonal. All other gods and goddesses are simply facets of this one God. This supreme being is viewed as the god of all other religions and equal to all existence or the ultimate reality.

Alibata/Filipino tattoo/immortaltattoo

The Philippines is a country with a very rich and diverse culture. With over 7,000 islands settled in the Pacific ocean in Southeast Asia, it has been a port utilized for trade and a pit stop for countries exploring the open waters. It is the country’s accessible and convenient location that has also subjected it to imperialism, being used as a strategic post for political advances. The US of A, Japan, and Spain are countries who have all had their slices of the Philippine pie, the latter ruling the 3rd world country for nearly 300 years, all of which has contributed to reshaping the culture of Filipinos. The influence of its colonizers can be seen in much of the Philippine culture today – foods have similarities to Spanish dishes, dialects carry the same phonetics as the Spanish and Malay languages,
the culture that exists today and has been able to adapt and transform throughout its history of colonization has also left behind significant cultural pieces that once defined and dominated the landscape. One of those artifacts that I have been obsessed with the past few years is the language of Alibata, one of the Philippines’ earliest and original native writing scripts. Also known as Baybayin which literally means “to spell”, this language is believed to be used as early as the 14th century. The introduction of the Spanish in 1521 marked the beginning of Alibata’s decline. The roman alphabet today is the dominant script in the Philippines and is used to write most, if not all of its 170 dialects. Despite the fact that it is vanishing, there are still few who have written about the language and have been able to call attention to the fading language. Luckily, I discovered one of these publications a few years back and have been interested in exploring the history and dynamics of the script ever since. I have studied the language and have experimented with its type in various processes, creating my own interpretations and compositions of the script. Below are a few pieces I have experimented with but please mind that they are in their early stages. I have yet to refine all of them but I wanted to share with you the writing script that is slowly fading away into extinction. I plan to carry this project to completion to serve as a foundation for the existence of Alibata and its future.
